Order of Salvation
You must believe in your heart that the Lord Jesus died for your salvation. You cannot be saved by works. The so-called "sinner's prayer" is not scriptural. You do not have to ask the Lord to save you because He does that when you first believe.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
